Haunted Shivtal Pond of Mathura

Once upon a time, in the ancient city of Mathura, there was a beautiful and serene lake called Shivtal. The lake was surrounded by lush greenery and was considered a sacred place by the locals. However, there was a dark side to the lake that nobody dared to talk about.

Legend had it that the lake was haunted by the spirit of a young girl who had drowned in its waters many years ago. The girl's name was Aarti, and she had been a devout follower of Lord Shiva. She used to visit the lake every day to offer prayers to the deity. One day, while she was taking a dip in the lake, a sudden gust of wind caused her to lose her balance, and she drowned in the water. Her body was never found, and since then, it was believed that her spirit still roamed the lake, seeking revenge for her untimely death. Many people claimed to have seen her ghostly figure hovering over the water, and some even reported hearing her chanting prayers in a mournful voice. The locals avoided the lake at all costs, and the place became deserted and eerie. One day, a group of adventurous youngsters decided to explore the lake despite the rumors of it being haunted. They arrived at the lake in the middle of the night and decided to camp there. As they sat around the campfire, they heard strange noises coming from the water. Suddenly, they saw a figure emerging from the lake. It was Aarti's ghost, and she looked more terrifying than they could have imagined. She had long hair that covered her face, and her white saree was stained with blood. The group tried to run, but they couldn't escape the wrath of the ghost. Aarti's spirit chased them relentlessly, and they were all found dead the next morning. Since then, nobody dared to venture near the haunted Shivtal of Mathura. The locals believe that Aarti's spirit still roams the lake, seeking revenge on anyone who dares to challenge her power. The haunted Shivtal of Mathura remains a mystery to this day, and nobody knows what truly happened to Aarti's spirit.
