Ghostly Encounter on Train

Kulsum sat by the window of the Bareilly City Kasganj Express special train, her eyes fixed on the passing scenery as the train made its way through the city of Bareilly. She was excited about her journey to visit her cousin, Hirayya, who lived in a small village on the outskirts of the city. Little did she know that this train ride would take an unexpected turn and lead her to a spine-chilling encounter with the supernatural.

As the train chugged along, Kulsum noticed the announcement for the upcoming Kachhla Bridge, a notorious spot known for its eerie tales and ghostly legends. The train slowed down as it approached the bridge, and Kulsum felt a strange sense of anticipation. She had heard stories about ghostly encounters at this very location, but she had always dismissed them as mere folklore.

Kulsum turned to her cousin Hirayya, who sat beside her. "Hirayya, have you ever heard the stories about Kachhla Bridge? They say it's haunted!"

Hi chuckled, brushing off the notion. "Oh, come on, Kulsum. Those are just old wives' tales. There's no such thing as ghosts."

Kulsum tried to shake off her uneasiness and joined Hi in laughing away the legends. However, as the train rolled onto the Kachhla Bridge, a strange sensation filled the air, causing the hairs on the back of Kulsum's neck to stand on end. The atmosphere grew heavy, and an eerie silence enveloped the train compartment.

Suddenly, the lights flickered and then completely went out, leaving the passengers in darkness. Panic erupted among the travelers as they groped around, searching for their belongings and each other. Kulsum's heart pounded in her chest, her mind filled with fear.

In the midst of the chaos, a frail voice echoed through the darkness, "Don't be afraid. It's just a little game I like to play." The voice seemed to come from the shadows at the end of the compartment.

"Who's there?" Kulsum called out, her voice trembling.

A figure emerged from the darkness, revealing itself to be Pervaiz, the shopkeeper who had boarded the train at a previous station. Pervaiz had a mischievous grin on his face. "Did I scare you, my friends? I couldn't resist playing a little prank."

Kulsum's fear turned into relief, and she let out a nervous laugh. "You really had us going there, Pervaiz. We thought it was something supernatural."

Pervaiz chuckled, his eyes twinkling. "Well, sometimes the darkness can make even the bravest souls quiver. But fear not, my friends. We have safely crossed the haunted Kachhla Bridge. The lights will be back on soon."

As if on cue, the lights flickered back to life, bathing the compartment in a warm glow. The passengers breathed a collective sigh of relief, their anxiety dissipating.

The rest of the train journey continued without any further paranormal incidents. Kulsum, Hirayys, and Pervaiz shared stories, laughter, and a sense of camaraderie. Although they had narrowly escaped a ghostly encounter, the experience brought them closer together, forging an unbreakable bond of friendship.

When the train finally arrived at their destination, Kulsum bid farewell to Hirayya and Pervaiz, grateful for the memorable and thrilling journey they had shared. As she stepped onto the platform, she glanced back at the Kachhla Bridge, a shiver running down her spine. She knew she would never forget that night and the ghostly prank that had turned into an unforgettable adventure.

The train departed from the station, and the rhythmic clatter of the wheels on the tracks provided a sense of familiarity and comfort. However, as the train left the city lights behind and ventured into the dark countryside, an eerie silence fell upon the compartment. The familiar uneasiness crept back into Kulsum's heart, making her senses tingle with apprehension.

Just then, the train screeched to a sudden halt, jolting the passengers forward. Confusion and whispers filled the air as they looked around, trying to comprehend what had happened. Kulsum and Hirayya exchanged worried glances, their previous encounter with the supernatural resurfacing in their minds.

The compartment door creaked open, and a gust of wind swept through the carriage, chilling the passengers to their bones. A figure slowly emerged from the shadows, its presence exuding an intense fury. It was a ghostly apparition, its face contorted with anger, and its eyes burning with an otherworldly fire.

Kulsum and Hirayya gasped in horror, frozen in their seats as the ghostly figure floated towards them. The other passengers recoiled, fear etched on their faces.

The ghostly entity spoke, its voice filled with rage and sorrow. "You dare to cross my path again, mortals? I shall not let you escape this time. Prepare to face the consequences of your trespass."

Kulsum's heart pounded in her chest as she mustered the courage to speak. "We mean no harm, spirit. Please, let us go. We are just passengers on this train, innocent bystanders."

The furious ghost glared at Kulsum and Hirayya, its gaze piercing through their souls. Suddenly, a powerful gust of wind swirled around them, and the compartment plunged into darkness. Kulsum and Hirayya clung to each other, their hearts filled with terror.

Amidst the darkness, they heard the voice of the ghost once again, but this time, it sounded different. "You have shown me compassion and pleaded for mercy. I see that you are not the ones I seek vengeance upon. Depart from this place and remember the spirits who wander these lands."

The lights flickered back on, and the ghostly figure disappeared, leaving behind a sense of emptiness and relief. The train started moving again, and the passengers slowly regained their composure, grateful for their narrow escape.
